Once you’ve got your chairs, search for a small table where you can put up your feet and set your novel and drink. You don’t need much to make a functional space. As far as accessories go, stick with something simple and durable. Potted plants can make a corner table pop, and an outdoor clock or thermometer can add beauty to your walls.
Party central: If you want to turn your patio or deck into a happening hotspot where friends can come and hang out – remember that seating is everything. You can pick up benches for relatively cheap at a hardware store, simply add some pillows or cover with blankets to make them more comfortable. You also might consider adding a stereo system with speakers that can be brought inside easily or stored in a weather proof container when not in use. If you have space for a barbeque, go ahead buy one. It’s true, Houston apartments are never far from world-class barbeque, but there’s nothing like homemade.
